In my classroom, we have always had that one kid that LOVED bugs. This book filled with bug facts and amazingly beautiful illustrations was an immediate love. This book is well-loved in our classroom and often consulted when we come across a new insect or are wondering about an old one. Zommer is an outstanding illustrator who makes the bug facts come to life on these pages. I will always be looking for her next book!

This single, thin, hardback childrlen's book,was packaged in a box ten times its depth, and It was placed ying on plastic bags of air, obviously pressed tight against the top of the box when the box was taped shut. Wondering what could be in this big box, since I'd only ordered a picture book, I carefully slid my sharp letter opener along the taped top to open the box from the middle. Who could predicct that a hardback book cover was pressed tight below. Now the book has a a slice down the middle of the front cover.

My son has shown an interest in bags, so I bought him this book to play into that interest. The book is wonderfully illustrated, visually interesting, and full of great bits of information. It has captivated my sons attention, and he spent several days spouting off his new found knowledge about insects of all types. Couldn't ask for more in a book! Highly recommend.

I love this book. My son loves bugs so we read it all the time. We’ll find a bug and then look in this book. Has lots of information on different bugs. Plus the pictures are beautiful. My son is 5 and really enjoys it. It’s a book for ages 0-6.

I purchased this book for a school unit on bugs because I fell in love with the beautiful drawings. This book is pretty informative and explained topics in a way my little ones could understand. The pictures kept them engaged. I used this book as a way to introduce the insect we were going to study for the week then used other books to go a little more in depth. My 8 year old loved using the illustrations to draw her own bugs and the information to write her own little information bubbles in her science journal.
